Mate’s Gift is a grassroots charity working across Bali, Sumatra, Thailand and beyond, supporting animals and the communities who care for them. From funding desexing and parasite treatment programs to providing vital resources for shelters, schools and remote villages, we believe in practical, compassionate action that creates long-term change.
Born from the love of one scruffy street dog, Mate, our work honours his memory by improving the lives of animals and people throughout South East Asia. We collaborate closely with local organisations to respond to urgent needs — whether that’s funding fencing to protect vulnerable animals, providing education supplies for kids, distributing feminine hygiene kits, or purchasing land to grow food for semi-wild elephants.
