Maccabi USA builds Jewish pride, identity, community, and connection to Israel through sports. As ties to traditional Jewish institutions are decreasing, our community is looking for other ways to connect with their heritage. Sports are a powerful tool to build interest in Judaism, create camaraderie and lifelong relationships, and to bridge the divides in our community, including across age, gender, denomination, and politics. Our flagship program, the Maccabiah, is a multi-sport competition that takes place in Israel every four years. In 2022, we will bring the world's largest traveling athletic delegation there, and we need your support to help reduce costs for the athletes. One of the biggest gatherings of Diaspora Jewry in the world, we expect 10,000 Jewish athletes from 80 countries on six continents. Prior to the two-week competition, we send our athletes on a life-changing week-long journey across Israel to educate them about the country, connect them with the people, and to provide them with an authentic cultural experience. Beyond the Maccabiah, Maccabi USA has just finalized a new strategic plan to bring more events, competitions, and gatherings to the US. Your support is paramount to making this a reality and to expanding the impact we create through overseas competitions.
