Our vision is a world where every child's potential – regardless of zip code, skin color, or family status – is unlocked with a post-secondary degree, opening the doors to success in life. To achieve this, For Love of Children (FLOC) provides much needed educational support and services to Washington D.C.'s most under-resourced youth and students. In our 55 years of business, FLOC has served more than 10,000 children and become one of the most respected nonprofits in the community. Over the years, we have seen first-hand the positive impact that our organization has had on our community, proving that when students are encouraged and prepared, they can overcome any challenges and complete their educations. Our small but mighty staff of 10 embodies this belief and works hard to see it through. Because of their dedication and determination, FLOC changes the lives of roughly 600 students from second grade through college and career every year. However, as a small nonprofit, FLOC's capacity to help our community's youth depends on the generosity and support of our constituents.
