The Loving Arms Foundation is a nonprofit organization founded on October 15, 2014 by Tina Thomas, serving families in Essex and Union Counties in New Jersey. We are excited to announce that we are expanding our reach to Douglasville, Georgia and the surrounding areas, bringing our mission of love, service, and community support to even more families in need.

Our mission is to provide food, shelter, education, basic life skills, stability, and most importantly love and affection to the less fortunate in our community. We offer personalized care to each family based on their unique needs, including furniture for households, food distribution (fresh meat, vegetables, canned goods, and sundries), and free community events such as a Thanksgiving Feast, Holiday Gatherings, Health Fairs, Coat Giveaways, and school supply drives. We also connect families to programs and resources they may not know exist, serving as their guide through the process from start to finish.

Since our founding, we have helped over 3,500 people. We maintain close working relationships with organizations including Horizon BCBSNJ, Susan G. Komen, Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, Planned Parenthood, and several other nonprofits across Essex and Union Counties. As we grow into Georgia, we look forward to building the same strong community partnerships that have made our work in New Jersey so impactful. We believe in empowering individuals with the skills needed for long-term self-sufficiency and a life beyond hardship.
