Based in Co Kildare, Littlehill Rescue and Sanctuary rescues, rehabilitates and re-homes abandoned, abused and neglected animals. We specialise in rehoming ex-commercial egg laying hens, which would otherwise be slaughtered. We have many animals with complex medical problems, and we fundraise to provide specialised veterinary care for very sick or injured animals whose owners cannot afford this treatment. We always do our best to ensure that these animals get a chance to live their best lives, and we have 100s of animals and birds here, living happily in the lush Kildare countryside. Everyone who helps at Littlehill is a volunteer, and we do not have any paid staff. We depend entirely on the generosity of the public to enable us to carry out our work, and to ensure that all our animals and birds are happy and contented.
