Ark Angels Animal Rescue was founded in 2012 and is the brainchild of the current charity director Kelly Roberts, whose rescue work goes back much further than that. The charity's sole aim is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome animals in need. These animals may be rescued from puppy farms, handed in by people who simply don't want them any more, or otherwise find themselves where they don't have a loving home. The charity uses foster homes rather than a kennelling arrangement. A small army of volunteers agree to look after the rescued animals in their own homes until such time as a loving home can be found. We find that this is much kinder to the animal and avoids the stress associated with kennels.
