Kids for Kids helps the forgotten children in the remote villages of Darfur, Sudan by providing a package of grassroots sustainable projects proposed and run by the communities themselves. Our main projects include our Goat Loan for protein-rich milk to drink, providing donkeys for transport, training midwives and first aid workers, building clean water handpumps, Kindergartens and so much more. But since conflict erupted across Sudan in 2023, millions have lost their homes, food is scarce, families are desperate. Malnutrition has spread across the whole of Darfur. Many children are surviving on one scant meal a day; many adults have just one meal every two to three days.

Kids for Kids is not an emergency organisation – our aim has always been to provide sustainable support - providing projects, and training communities - so that they can improve their own lives long term. Yet every family in Darfur is struggling and we must do all we can to help. We are providing for the immediate emergency to address serious malnutrition, especially in the smallest children, but we are also doing all we can to provide medicine for both people and for the animals.  Our Kids Kitchen Kits are full of essential protein and nutrients including lentils, pulses, ground nuts and cooking oil for children 5 and under. We have already reached 49 of our 110 communities and are targeting 40 more, but we need your help.  It costs just £25 for one Kids Kitchen Kit for a family - a lifeline at a time of desperation.
