About us
The Kansas Foundation for Agriculture in the Classroom (KFAC) is a statewide, self-funded 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing agricultural literacy for Kansas youth. KFAC provides teachers with high-quality, standards-aligned resources, hands-on lesson materials, and professional development that use agriculture as the context for teaching core subjects such as science, math, social studies, and language arts.
Our goal is to help students understand where their food, fiber, and fuel come from, recognize the vital role agriculture plays in their daily lives and local communities, and explore the wide range of careers that support Kansas’ largest industry.
By supporting educators, partnering with agricultural organizations, and engaging thousands of students each year, KFAC works to build an agriculturally informed citizenry—developing the consumers, leaders, policymakers, and workforce of tomorrow.
