Joy First Foundation has been on the Tour of Joy since 2022. 6400 random strangers have received "joyful moments" where they receive a standing ovation, recognition, acknowledgement, and gratitude for simply being alive. Speaking engagements for stress relief, and reframing difficult conversations through laughter, improvisation and interpersonal activities have been successful online and in-person spanning from New York City, to Michigan's upper peninsula, to Arizona to name a few. Online global sessions also are quite powerful for project managers, environmental activists, and humanitarians around the world.

Joy First Foundation has been surviving for more than 3 ½ years, covering more than 20,000 miles in travel and offering free yoga, workshops, and speaking engagements strictly by individual donations. Reactions from recipients of workshops, random strangers' Joyful Moments, and activities that remind us of the feeling of joy have 100% recommended that this continue.

Joy First foundation wants to expand, and create pockets of joyful practitioners around the world. This is only possible with the help of grants and other funding that goes beyond the current situation.

In May 2025, the travel van had an accident and has been in repair for months. Donors supported some repair, and insurance covered the majority, but expenses have been continuous and for Joy First to continue and expand, a grant is needed.

"Thank you for being alive today" is how a joyful moment starts. Listening is what happens after the recipient begins to show emotionality and tell their story. Many of these stories are of surviving illness, caring for loved ones, or for one example working two jobs to try and get his mother out of homelessness. We give gifts of 3d printed joys, cards that give gratitude, and clown noses and kazoos. We would like to give financial support to domestic violence organizations, homeless organizations, and at risk communities.
