ICARE has been in existence since 2003 as a foster home-based rescue. In all this time, we have never had an actual shelter & have most always operated on a shoestring. We have helped an enormous number of animals & residents for 18 years & feel it is time to have a shelter building. Just prior to the pandemic, we were given a very generous donation meant to help in the construction of a shelter. since the pandemic however, building costs have increased dramatically, and, so has our need for a shelter. We have secured a location for our building thru our county with a 100-year lease and the site is ready for construction to begin. We believe we have the funds to construct the basic building, but not enough to pay for interior finishing, kennels, fencing, and other items that we may not even be aware of yet.
