In My Brother’s Shoes, Inc. is a nonprofit filmmaking organization dedicated to fostering dialogue, healing, and a sense of community through socially engaged films and live screenings. Our work centers on themes of resilience, human connection, dignity, and hope, using storytelling as a catalyst for conversation and understanding.
Beyond filmmaking, we actively raise funds and awareness for organizations supporting Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), cancer research and patient support, and humanitarian causes. Our films often partner directly with advocacy groups, medical communities, and service organizations to amplify impact and reach audiences who benefit most from these stories.
Since the premiere of In My Brother’s Shoes, our nonprofit has produced award-winning narrative and documentary films exploring life after trauma, cancer survivorship, immigration, homelessness, humanitarian service, and overlooked chapters of history. Our projects have been screened for veterans, cancer support groups, medical facilities, museums, churches, schools, and community organizations across the United States, Canada, and Europe.
We are committed to making our films accessible and impactful through in-person screenings with facilitated discussion, as well as online presentations introduced during the COVID-19 era. Through film, we strive to build empathy, encourage dialogue, and strengthen the communities we serve.
