In Idaho we have access to this wonderful, sought after natural resource, over 100,000 miles of it. Yet, we often take for granted these incredible waterways, and manage them for short-term profits, in lieu of ecological integrity. Leading to Idaho’s waterways under attack daily - water shortages, pollution, over managed and inefficient water systems, loss of species, declining aquifers, restrictions to access, and climate change that is altering temperatures and stressing wildlife. As populations grow our water ecosystems are under ever-increasing stressors. Our top priorities are salmon recovery, wild and scenic river protection, hydropower reform, and clean-clean water systems for all.
