About us
Hornsby Model Engineers Co-Op is a Not for Profit, Volunteer run organisation that was lovingly built by volunteer members in the 1970s in the picturesque Galston area.
Model engineering is the name given to cover various interests—Miniature railways (Steam, Petrol, diesel & Electric), Steam trucks & Traction Engines, and Stationary/portable Steam enginesGalston Valley Railway has been running on its current site since the 1980s by its dedicated, volunteers. The site caters to 5” (127mm) gauge engines.Our volunteer members run train rides for the local community families on the 2nd Sunday of the Month.As a not-for-profit Co-Op all monies collected from ticket sales, Sausage Sizzle, and Souvenirs go directly back into the club for the maintenance and improvements on site.Membership is open to everyone with an interest in Model engineering, young or old, Male or Female, and who is willing to volunteer their time to run and maintain the Club.We add Feature Views for every $ you pay.
