Hanan RRG began during the Syrian refugee crisis in 2016 as an all-volunteer, grassroots organization formed by a group of like-minded individuals who saw a need in the community. We started by providing support services to newly arrived refugees. Hanan has evolved into a multilingual, multicultural non-profit refugee resettlement organization with a staff of former volunteers, refugees and immigrants, dedicated to serving refugees in a respectful, culturally sensitive manner. Our mission is to transition refugees into contributing members of their host communities by providing short & long-term solutions, such as resettlement, housing, employment opportunities, and medical relief. Our goal is to help restore dignity and self-sufficiency refugees need to strengthen themselves and their new community.
