Get Goating is a youth-centered agricultural education program that uses dairy goats to teach responsibility, confidence, and real-world life skills. Through hands-on experiences in animal care, record keeping, genetics, and showmanship, youth learn not only how to care for animals, but how to think critically, communicate clearly, and make thoughtful decisions.

Our program is intentionally inclusive and accessible. We proudly serve youth with unique abilities and learning styles, meeting each participant where they are and adapting instruction so every child can participate meaningfully. Youth do not need to own a goat to be involved. We provide animals, mentorship, and a supportive environment where curiosity is encouraged and growth is celebrated.

Beyond animal science, Get Goating builds community. Participants develop friendships, leadership skills, and a deeper connection to agriculture and potential careers within it. Families are welcomed as partners, and youth are empowered to learn by doing, asking questions, and growing through experience.

At its heart, Get Goating is about belonging, perseverance, and the confidence to keep going.
