About us
The Foundation and Friends of the Long Hill Township Public Library is a
501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that operates exclusively for charitable and educational purposes. These two groups – the Foundation and the Friends – share the goal of promoting the Long Hill Township Public Library and enabling it to grow and flourish.
The Foundation focuses on building an endowment that supports the long-term needs of the library. A portion of our endowment, funded primarily by our annual appeal, is donated directly to the library each year. These funds help bridge the gap between public support and the cost of providing leading-edge library programs and services.
The Friends focuses on fundraising to support and enhance the important short-term needs of the library.
