Adam’s Purpose: Healing Rooted in Culture, Connection, and Community

Adam’s Purpose transforms how grief and mental health are experienced in Black and BIPOC communities. Founded from lived experience, our mission is to ensure no family grieves alone.

We provide culturally responsive grief and mental health support through peer-led support groups, Family Healing Circles, and therapy partnerships for families who have experienced the death of a child.

Our lived-experience leadership model trains bereaved parents and siblings as Peer Advocates—empowering them to lead healing spaces, share their stories, and guide others through loss.

Each year, Adam’s Purpose supports over 400 individuals, with 99% reporting stronger connections to help and 97% reporting reduced stigma around seeking mental health care.
