Family & Youth Initiative is a welcoming community of caring adults and amazing teens.

Through relationships built at fun events, we give teens in foster care support and lasting adult relationships with mentors, host parents, adoptive families, and "Open Tables."

Too many teens in foster care never find family, they age out of care as young adults expected to be self-sufficient on their own without any adult support. That transition is hard as documented by national statistics. DCFYI volunteers change the odds and the future for the amazing and resilient young people we serve!
