Equest is a powerful beacon of hope and healing for children, families, and adults with disabilities. We opened in 1990 with 16 riders and 7 acres. Today, we serve over 185 individuals with physical, mental, and social/emotional disabilities each week on a farm that fills 34 acres. Equest Center’s mission is to improve quality of life through equine-based therapy to physically, mentally, and socially/emotionally challenged individuals. Our unique program integrates academic, social, and physical skills using the horse as a catalyst. We currently provide over 13 programs including Therapeutic Riding, a Horses for Heroes program for veterans, a Vocational and Job Training program, a one-of-a-kind Sensory Trail, and MANY more! Equest also provides a meaningful community outreach program to businesses, schools, juvenile programs, and youth organizations that are willing to accept the opportunity to become trained volunteers to help with our programs.
