We provide educational scholarships to the children and grandchildren of our Fire, EMS and Emergency Service personnel heroes in Houston and Harris County, Texas. The Dennis W. Holder Scholarship Fund is a testament to the deep appreciation we have for your service. By providing educational opportunities for your children and grandchildren, the DWHSF is investing in their futures and acknowledging the profound impact your dedication has on your families. It's a tangible way of saying, "We see you, we value you, we support the ones you love."

The DWHSF was established as a 501c3 nonprofit in 1998. Nearly $5 million in scholarships have been disbursed since 2003 – over 6,000 scholarships to the children and grandchildren of Active and Retired City of Houston Firefighters!

The expansion of this vital program to Emergency Service Districts across Harris County will extend this much-deserved support to more of our local heroes and their families.
