At Elevate New Orleans, our mission is to elevate the life skills and abilities of students through academic, athletic, and social programs. Elevate uses a sports-based youth development approach that extends our services far beyond the basketball court to target the social, behavioral, and emotional skills our students will need to be successful. Currently, our daily after-school program serves over 30 students in grades six through ten. Students in this program receive academic tutoring, basketball skills training, and hot meals. They are also exposed to a variety of enrichment activities, such as field trips, career workshops and hosting community volunteer events. Collectively, these students receive over 7,000 hours of services from Elevate each year. Elevate also has an assortment of other community programs, such as basketball tournaments and clinics, that serve over 500 additional youth each year.
