About us

The East Lancashire Model Railway (Charitable) Organisation is a non-profit organisation, founded in 2006 by Mr Fred Coupe, and Lord Eric Coupe. ELMRO was from the start, and very much still is, a family driven organisation. our charity is run by disabled people,  for any body in the community.  Our first event took place in January 2007 and was a huge success. We now hold an event every year which helps raise money for different local (East Lancashire) charities, or partnerships that we have made with other charities prior to the event.   The charity runs a years annual event ( January) a for model Railway exhibition etc.   We run a bi-week stall on Preston Market in Lancashire ( Tuesday & Sunday)  and attend other events across the years, like Stream rally's, Trams Sunday and local community event around Lancashire, Christmas fair etc.   The charity has not won any grants or awards for all the years, it ash been operating.  The charity has to self -supporting, because we have no external help for the work we do in the area.We support anybody or person or animal who needs help at any given time, any time of the day, which cover all the areas  which have ticked  your section tell us which your charity works
