CommunityAIM – Empowering Citizens with Disabilities Society is a registered non-profit organization based in Spruce Grove, Alberta. Founded by the Elliot family and inspired by Maitland Elliot, a young man with a disability who valued friendship and community involvement, CommunityAIM began with a simple idea: to create a place where everyone belongs.

Our mission is to empower citizens with disabilities by fostering friendships, welcoming inclusion, and inspiring communities. We believe everyone deserves meaningful connections, opportunities to contribute, and a sense of belonging.

CommunityAIM provides inclusive programs and supports that promote independence, personal growth, and community engagement. These include community access, life-skills, recreation, and friendship-based programs that encourage individuals to learn, volunteer, and participate fully in their communities.

Each year, we host events like Teen Night, Friendship Builders, and the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) to celebrate inclusion and raise awareness. Through partnerships with local organizations, schools, and municipalities, we work to create a more accessible and understanding community for all.

As a grassroots charity, CommunityAIM relies on donations, fundraisers, and volunteers to keep programs running and accessible. Every contribution directly supports activities, adaptive equipment, and resources that help individuals thrive.
