The Abraham House is a home for the terminally ill.  We provide 24 hour care for individuals with a terminal diagnosis and a prognosis of three months or less.   Our caregivers act as surrogate family members assuming responsibility for all personal care, hygiene care, medication administration, preparing and feeding light meals and emotional support.  They assume this responsibility so that family can just be "family" with the opportunity to spend quality time with their loved one in their remaining days.  Our caregivers' days are spend holding frail hands, wiping tears, patiently listening to stories of long lost youth, quelling fears of those not ready to say good bye...and they do this selflessly  with love and compassion.  We provide services free of charge and in a warm home environment, helping not only those with means but also low income families who may not otherwise be able to afford the quality of care that we provide.  We consider it an honor to care for those we serve and our home provides a place where no one has to die alone.
