Our VISION - A world where every child has equal opportunity to unlock their full potential

Children's University works with children to ignite their passion for learning, raise their aspirations and to build their confidence and self esteem, breaking the cycle of low expectations, which prevents many children from experiencing success.  Through our national network of Children's University partners, we offer a framework to encourage, track and celebrate children's participation in a range of activities and experiences. 

Research shows, that taking part in extra curricular activities, can positively impact on a child's attainment, increase  a positive connection with school and builds resilience.   

A priority area of focus, are children from the most disadvantaged backgrounds across the UK, where the post covid world, and the cost of living crisis has created even more barriers for these children to access opportunities which open up possibilities and enable them to reach their full potential.  

We now have Children's University Online, embracing technology and increasing access for all children.  So far we have helped children across the UK take part in more that 750,000 hours of extra activities.  A donation of £3.50 covers a 1 months subscription cost. 

By 2026 we aim to:

• Increase our activity hours to more that 1 million. 
• Provide activities in 80% of the levelling up areas
• Enable 85% of all children to access our activities for free.
