Impact Recovery Ltd is a not-for-profit charity organisation with tax deductible status, operating in Bendigo since 2012. Impact Recovery believes that every individual deserves to live a life that maximises their potential, restoring them to their life’s purpose. Our vision is “Freedom from Addiction”.

Impact Recovery understands that the causal factors for life-controlling addiction are many, thus the approach to recovery must be holistic. This being the underlying foundation, our approach to therapy covers four main areas; biological, social, psychological and spiritual.

Our unique services centre around a highly effective and successful lived-in program that provides secure accommodation and activities designed to target specific needs. This lived-in program takes a long-term approach (12+ months) of care, to truly establish change and growth, to relieve homelessness, rise above destitution and break cycles of family violence and addiction. Through this community model, participants are introduced to group sessions and practical teaching on issues such as; conflict resolution, communication skills, identity and self-worth, life-skills, literacy and numeracy, workplace ethics, discipline and boundary setting. Our services also work to resolve unaddressed mental health concerns through professional counselling.

We partner with key professional stakeholders in our community to outwork the vision, and we rely upon a core workforce and a healthy team of volunteers who are committed to and passionate about the welfare of our participants. Our team share the desire for participants to be restored to wholeness, free from dependence upon any person, behaviour, chemical or destructive pattern of thinking.

There have been many success stories of participants returning home, reconciled with their families and their children. Communities great and small are positively impacted by each individual gaining "Freedom from Addiction".
