HopeSpring Cancer Support Centre is an independent community organization committed to empowering those whose lives are impacted by cancer to improve their emotional, physical and spiritual well-being. Those who are impacted by cancer include those with cancer, their friends, family and loved ones, their caregivers, their children, their neighbours, and their community. HopeSpring provides a safe space for those affected by cancer. The primary activities of HopeSpring is to provide programming and services to those affected by cancer. We provide post-mastectomy camisoles to those facing breast cancer, wigs to those who are losing or have lost their hair due to cancer treatment, 1:1 cancer care counselling. We offer gentle exercise programs such as Qi Gong, Tai Chi and Yoga programs. We facilitate support groups. In the time of COVID-19 we transitioned to deliver programs remotely. HopeSpring doesn’t receive government funding, so we rely on grants and donations to offset the costs of our programs and services. According to the Canadian Cancer Society, nearly 1 in 2 Canadians is expected to develop cancer during their lifetime (Source: https://www.cancer.ca/en/cancer-information/cancer-101/cancer-statistics-at-a-glance/?region=on). Your support of HopeSpring ensures we can continue to support those affected by cancer.
