Candy’s Hound Rescue International is a registered UK charity dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming greyhounds, sighthounds and other dogs from countries where animal welfare protection is poor or non-existent, with a particular focus on China.

Many of the dogs we rescue have suffered unimaginable cruelty, neglect, abandonment or exploitation within the dog meat trade.

Our mission is to give these dogs a second chance at life. We provide safe shelter, veterinary treatment, nutritious food, rehabilitation and ongoing care while working with trusted international rescue partners to find them loving, permanent homes.

We are committed not only to saving lives but also to improving the welfare and quality of life of every dog in our care, particularly those who may wait months or even years for their forever homes.

As a charity, we rely on the generosity of supporters, donations and grants to continue our vital work and give vulnerable dogs the safety, compassion and future they deserve.
