Business in the Streets (BITS) envisions a Canada where all young people believe in the potential of their ideas. BITS was launched in 2011 to help underserved and underrepresented young people improve their personal, professional, and economic well-being through entrepreneurship.

Our programs and events help improve a young person’s financial security, capacity, and resilience by equipping them with the skills, resources, networks, and confidence to succeed in entrepreneurship. Through mentorship, business training, and real-world application, we empower young people to build their business ideas while acquiring critical job skills, supporting them along traditional and self-employment pathways.

Since our launch, BITS has impacted over 2,000 young people, provided $600,000+ in funding for business and professional development, fostered hundreds of industry connections, and reinvested hundreds of thousands of dollars back into our community through paid opportunities.
