The Blessed Backpack Brigade takes to the streets to provide free meals to individuals and families in need. This includes the elderly, unemployed, underemployed, disabled, migrants, indigents, homeless, and children.

We seek to serve the disadvantaged and homeless of our community by sharing our love and addressing the needs of others by providing food for their bodies, kindness for their souls, & hope for the future. 

The Blessed Backpack Brigade is a not-for-profit, volunteer-based organization with a dedicated staff, community support and a commitment to educate the public about these issues.

Some of our major programs and services include:

-        A Free meal to serve those in need right here in our own community.

-        Distribution of sleeping bags, tents, clothing, food, and other essentials to try and alleviate some of their suffering

-        Referrals to services that may be of help such as Salvation Army, Veterans Office, Food Share, Tri-Valley Elder Services, Mass Health, St. Vincent de Paul, etc.

We have distributed numerous amounts of sleeping bags, tents, blankets, personal hygiene items, food, phone cards, clothing, and other necessities the homeless and poverty stricken need to survive. These Items are provided by donations received from people who want to help.
