Blacktown Women’s and Girls’ Health Centre (BWGHC) and North West Sydney Domestic Violence Court Advocacy Service offer professional, holistic health services and domestic violence court support and advocacy. Working extensively with specialist organisations we support women and girls wishing to create a life free of domestic violence for themselves and their children through specialist programmes and counselling, group work and individual case work. We work with community partners to provide health care access for women from diverse communities, health promotion and sexual and reproductive health education. We promote health, well-being and empowerment for children, women and girls throughout Blacktown LGA. In 2016, BWGHC created the Women, Girls' And Children's Emergency Fund. The aim of the fund is to supply women, girls and children fleeing domestic and family violence with practical crisis support such as, survival kits, short term accommodation and monetary support for other needs. A further aim is early intervention to prevent children from becoming victims.
