development of the sport of rugby football, the personal growth of young men and women and support of

our local community. AVRC relies on a combination of Corporate Sponsorship, Fundraising and

Volunteerism to keep Player Registration costs at a reasonable price point. Additionally, AVRC also

offers Player Scholarships to ensure that any child interested in learning and competing in the game of

rugby has the opportunity to do so at the highest levels.

Since the inception of the program in 2012, AVRC’s High School teams have become nationally ranked,

and have successfully competed in USA Rugby HS National tournaments and the highly regarded

regional tournaments against some of the top schools & clubs in Eastern US and around the nation.

Locally, AVRC Girls and Boys programs compete in Division 1 of the CT High School league. We are a

Connecticut-based rugby program for boys and girls teams age 8 through High School. 

We believe that every child who wants to play should have the opportunity to play no matter what their financial situation is. We will go out of our way to ensure that we get rides for new players, equipment if needed, cover travel expenses and make sure all registration charges are all paid for.
