Anita's Angels Cat Rescue is a self funded rescue where all my cats are desexed, microchipped and vaccinated before they are adopted into loving homes. I am an advocate for cat enclosures to keep cats safe and am an advocate for desexing pets as there is an epidemic of unwanted animals with no homes and all rescues are already full and can no longer keep taking on anymore. I have been begging my local council to provide a low cost desexing campaign for pension and health care card holders for over 10 years now with no luck so I plan to do a low cost desexing campaign myself. I have always helped people with desexing their cats but have never advertised that I did because I am one person trying to make a difference but only have so much money but with this grant I can do so much more Desexing is the only way we can slow down the breeding cycle so less animals will end up in the pound waiting to die.
