Animals in Distress, Torbay and Westcountry, has been finding new, forever homes for tens of thousands of homeless dogs, cats, rabbits and guinea pigs from across Devon since 1981. We take in, care for and rehome hundreds of animals every year. While the animals are with us we strive to keep them healthy and happy by providing regular vet checks, feeding them quality food and give them every opportunity to exercise and socialise. We try to provide the majority of veterinary care on site to prevent unnecessary stress and we ensure all of our dogs and cats leave us having been microchipped, vaccinated and neutered, as well as treated for fleas and worms. A dog or cat in our care costs an average of £500. We receive no government funding so rely on the generosity of our wonderful supporters to continue helping as many animals as we can!
