TreeSisters is a women-led, grassroots reforestation campaign that exists to make it as normal to give back to Nature, as it currently is to take Nature for granted. We exist to rebuild reciprocity between humanity and the natural world - we call this the shift from a consumer species to a restorer species. Our uniqueness is that we offer inner and outer change. We offer tools, courses, education, community, and support for women (and men) globally to reconnect to themselves, each other and nature in order to feel resourced enough to make change in the world - both locally and globally. We fund tropical reforestation by collecting monthly donations from people around the world and channeling them to a portfolio of existing projects run by organisations that we have vetted (3 months of due diligence) every quarter of the year. The projects we fund are ethical, community-led, and promote women's participation, which leads to improved socioeconomic outcomes. Through our 11 planting projects across different ecosystems we have funded the planting of more than 14 million trees and we are restoring the world's tropical forests, water cycles and weather patterns. We are working in Borneo, Brazil, Cameroon, India, Kenya, Madagascar, Mozambique, West Papua and Nepal.
