Animal Help Now (AHNow) develops innovative digital technology applications that help animals and serve humans.The groundbreaking AHNow app (see www.AHNow.org) is a nationwide 911-type service for wildlife emergencies and conflicts. The free phone app and website direct people who have encountered injured or distressed wildlife or are dealing with "nuisance" wildlife to the nearest, most appropriate help, 24/7. In 2022, AHNow’s Wildlife Emergency service was accessed more than 130,000 times. Billions of wild animals injured or killed each year in this country from anthropogenic causes (cat and dog attacks, vehicle strikes, etc.). The organization is now developing an app that people can use to quickly and effectively communicate with their neighbors when disasters threaten and strike. Pet Help and Rescue (see www.PHaR.org) will provide a dedicated communications channel specifically for pet rescue for people who are not home or otherwise need help evacuating animals.
