Amalna Foundation is a grassroots community organization based in Chicago, operational worldwide through its registered local partners in countries affected by crisis. Amalna delivers life-saving assistance to at-risk populations around the world, prioritizing hard-to-reach and high-risk areas. Amalna concentrates on emergency response, transitional aid, stabilization, and community resilience. Since its founding, Amalna has been building psychosocial support centers, women’s programs, child protection programs, livelihood restoration and training, and social cohesion programs. In Mosul, Iraq (2017-2022), Amalna's psychosocial support center served 50,000 conflict-affected women and children. In Dnipro, Ukraine (2022-present), Amalna helped establish and continues to support the Way to Health Medical Center, with mental health programs benefiting over 2,000 displaced and war-affected survivors. In Nepal, Amalna supports Women Empowerment Nepal, founded in 2014 to promote equal opportunities for women and reaffirm their self-determination. In Chicago, Amalna's home base, it built the KOI Institute, which partners with local activists serving migrant and marginalized communities, particularly women and children affected by gun violence. Amalna is comprised of volunteers, professionals from various sectors, and generous individuals and groups who believe in the dream of a better world, where human rights are defended, equal opportunity is a reality for all, and mental health is promoted as the path to stability and peace.
