Vets Around the Corner Community Veterinarian Program is a federally registered not-for-profit initiative dedicated to breaking down barriers to veterinary care. We believe that every pet deserves access to compassion, health, and hope—regardless of their owner's mobility, financial situation, or housing status. Whether it’s a senior unable to drive, a person living in transitional housing, or a family struggling to make ends meet, we bring care directly to their door.
With a retrofitted ambulance serving as a mobile exam space, our licensed veterinary team partners with community agencies, shelters, retirement homes, and paramedic services across Durham Region. Together, we provide in-home or on-site wellness exams, preventive care, and support for those who need it most.

This is more than animal care—this is community care. We are the first program of its kind, and we rely entirely on donations, sponsorships, and community support to operate.
