Approximately 6000 Thoroughbred racehorses (think Kentucky Derby!) retire from racing each year and many of these horses have no place to go after they've run their last race. Many of these horses even retire with injuries (many severe) that require rehabiltation. 

After the Races dream is to ensure that every racehorse has a safe place to transition after retirement from racing. One that can rehabilitate them physically, emotionally, and behaviorally while working to find them an adoptive home.
