The Women’s Justice Network (WJN) provides gender-responsive, trauma-informed support to women affected by the criminal law system, helping them rebuild their lives and create brighter futures. We address the systemic challenges criminalised women face through advocacy, and individually through practical assistance, mentoring, and leadership development.

At the heart of our work is our mentoring program—a powerful one-on-one connection that empowers women and girls to overcome life’s challenges and avoid incarceration. Mentors act as positive role models, helping women build confidence, resilience, and direction while discovering their own solutions. This flexible, client-centred approach equips women with skills, social support, and hope, enabling them to make positive choices and become strong, contributing members of their communities.

Many are escaping domestic violence, healing from childhood trauma, or facing homelessness upon release from prison.
