Auckland Medical Museum Trust Board is a community initiative focused on preserving and promoting the medical heritage of Aotearoa New Zealand and Pasifika through a digital museum, "Our Health Journeys". Our mission is to provide a platform that showcases the rich legacy of medical and health heritage, aiming to educate the public and inspire future generations to pursue careers in health and medicine. By fostering partnerships with schools, museums, and health professionals, we co-curate stories that reflect the diverse experiences of the community, with a special focus on Māori, Pacific, and other ethnic communities. The digital museum serves as a repository for health-related stories and collections, enhancing access to medical heritage for rural and under-resourced communities. We have successfully engaged the community through events like the Auckland Heritage Festival and generated substantial engagement. Our financial health is supported by grants and pro bono contributions.
