Wingman Ministries began as a men's discipleship training program and quickly began reaching out to men in jail and prison as well as men caught in addiction. During the Covid years, we also got heavily involved with the homeless in this area. We operate a small men's discipleship house in Charleston, Illinois in which younger men live in a house with an older retired Christian man who oversees the program. People certainly don't have to be followers of Christ to be helped by hour program, but we hope to shine of Christ in all we do.

We have created a mentoring program for inmates in our local county jail, and we have worked with inmates in all five adjacent counties as well as a few beyond. We have visited inmates in 22 Illinois state prisons, visiting an inmate in Lincoln Correctional Center just last week, and we continue all of these outreaches today.
