About us
PAWS & More, also known as Washington County Humane Society, is a small shelter doing big things in SE Iowa! "PAWS" stands for "Providing Animals With Shelter", and "More" is for the loving care we give to every animal and person we meet. PAWS & More has been an organization since 1978. We provide humane care to all animals needing protection and seek loving homes for animals without owners. We are a Best Friends certified No Kill shelter. We love to work in cooperation with other shelters and rescue organizations needing assistance.
