UrbanReachSTL is a year-round nonprofit dedicated to families living in public housing communities in St. Louis, particularly in the Cochran. The organization focuses on breaking cycles of systemic poverty and crime by fostering long-term change in homes and streets, offering hope and empowerment to residents.

UrbanReachSTL began as a small backyard Bible club and has grown into a multifaceted initiative serving hundreds of children and families annually. Its programs include weekly outreach, community engagement, summer programming, mentorship, and community living. The organization also is working on a city revitalization project, restoring a church and community center that was once a hub for crime into a safe space for children, youth, and residents.
UrbanReachSTL provides summer internships for community youth to equip and empower the next generation of leaders. These programs offer hands-on experience, mentorship, and skill-building to prepare young people for future careers. The urgency is clear—many youths in our area face significant barriers to career development and access to guidance, making these opportunities essential for long-term success.
