Olney Community Library is a unique and vital institution in Olney, Texas, operating as a combined library service for both the Olney Independent School District (ISD) and the City of Olney. This partnership has thrived for over 50 years, with the library serving as a crucial resource for both the students and teachers of the school district, as well as the citizens of Olney. The library building is located on school land, but is operated by the Library Board. This longstanding agreement between the Olney City Council, Olney ISD school board, and the Library’s board reflects a strong commitment to collaboration, and ensuring the continued success and mutual benefit of this partnership.

Olney Community Library has served the Olney community for over 50 years, and by updating the library’s interior, we will create a space that is more functional, welcoming, and secure for students, teachers, and the broader community.
