Urban Angels is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation which supports the education, health and well-being of children in mountains villages of southern Peru and the highland plain of central Mexico.

In Peru we assisted with Earthquake relief in the Colca Valley. This lead to the development of an after-school program to teach adolescents community leadership and emotional regulation.

In Mexico we formed a team of local community leaders to identify families in remote areas in dire need during the Covid pandemic. We delivered basic food necessities (rice, beans, lentils, corn, cooking oil and salt) as well as critical medicine, and medical supplies to 50-100 families weekly. This led to close relationships with some of those communities.

We maintain ongoing commitments to rural families with children struggling with crippling medical conditions such as muscular dystrophy. Urban Angels assists the overall community during periods of food insecurity and supplying the child care program and primary school with furniture and school supplies.

Possibly our greatest joy is another after school program teaching English to adolescents and young adults. Further funding will allow us to expand all these programs: especially the number of children we may commit to improve the medical attention for their serious conditions and opening more English classes.
