United Action For Life (UAFL) Foundation Inc. is a recently launched Registered Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) Charity 100% tax-deductible. UAFL is working towards setting up holistic in-house mental health refuge, recovery centres to help meet the unmet acute needs of a group of people in the community who too often are voiceless. UAFL is a new concept that requires funding in order to be able to provide new leading edge internationally proven techniques and mental health services, modelled on successful international examples, such as the ‘Santa Barbara Mental Wellness Center’, in California (established in 1947). UAFL mission will educate the health industry, Australians in general on how better to care and deal with debilitating mental health wellbeing issues to support suffers and cares alike by providing better mental health care. All of which naturally connects with our physical health and wellbeing that impacts business, financial, economic security, productivity and employment; family life, home and happiness. Generally physical, adult ailments like heart attacks, cancer and most diseases are more often than not the result of stress and mental anguish that also leads to drug and alcohol abuse, and harmful activities like compulsive gambling and acts of violence. The reverse is also true: ill physical health leads to mental illnesses of all kinds. To deal with these interrelated issues - we call upon all Australians to work together to address mental health issues within society in general so desperate people can receive the loving care, support, tools, strategies, healing, protection, counselling and treatments they need. Whether it is alcohol, drug related, or other forms of abuse/self-harm – this mission is designed to deal with the underlying cause - and not just the symptoms. UAFL website: uafl.org.au
