We work with and have a great passion for PARROTS. We have a very big heart and a great passion for all animals including BIRDS and PARROTS. We believe birds deserve the same respect and treatment as any other animal. We change peoples lives by rehoming to only the perfect chosen candidates that meet criteria to be exactly what the specific bird needs. We Work day and night with our 12 Volunteers to rescue birds, rehome birds, educate owners, give 24 hr advice on bird health and diet and wellbeing. We provide a LOST and FOUND Bird program to reunite the REAL owners with there feathery companions. We also do house calls to train members of the public to be the best bird owners possible by giving all essential information on their bird's diet, health, training and behaviour and any specific needs the bird has. Townsville Bird Support Service does the following: · Rehome Birds · Bird Sitting · Take in unwanted birds or Lost Birds · Advertise peoples lost birds · House calls to help people with their feathered companions · Wing clipping, Health aid, worming mite and lice etc., · Dietary advice · General health advice · Reuniting owners with their lost birds Any grant that Townsville Bird Support Service receives will be used for all Birds in our care either rescued rehomed or lost and found that need our help and the equipment needed to care for them and give them the best life they can possibly have. We will also assist all carers and volunteers who work with Townsville Bird Support Service to establish setups for Birds in our care. This would be amazing for us being a small organisation and if given the opportunity we can make a big impact on BIRDS lives and lives of their owners as well!
