Three Rivers Avian Center is a private, nonprofit 501(c)3 organization established in 1990. We are dedicated to conserving our native non-game wild birds by providing veterinary and rehabilitative care, participating in research projects and restoration efforts, and educating and involving the public in ecosystem stewardship. We are located on an 100 acre wildlife sanctuary in Summers County WV, just off Route 20 near Hinton in the New River Gorge National Park & Preserve.

We work with all non-game native birds from hummingbirds to eagles, usually averaging between 250 and 350 patients per year. Our educational outreach programs are available featuring live non-releasable birds of prey including hawks, owls, falcons, eagles and more. We also host free public tours of the facility on the first Saturday of May through October from 1 to 5 pm. The last tour starts at 4:30 pm.
