We started Three Little Birds Animal Sanctuary and Healing Space because we have witnessed firsthand the incredible impact of animal-assisted counseling in the therapy world. Seeing how animals help regulate the human nervous system, providing emotional grounding and support, inspired us to create a space where this healing connection could thrive. We believe in the science behind animal-assisted therapy and the profound ways it helps individuals facing trauma, anxiety, PTSD, and emotional dysregulation.

Beyond our passion for mental health, we have always had a deep love for animals. Our experience volunteering with rescue organizations has reinforced our belief that animals deserve a safe and loving environment, just as humans do. Too often, rescued animals and people in emotional distress are overlooked, yet both have the capacity to heal when given the right support. This sanctuary is built on the idea that humans and animals can heal together, creating a space where both can find safety, restoration, and connection.

Our motivation is to make therapy accessible and affordable for all populations. Mental health services can be expensive, and many people cannot access the support they need. By utilizing grants and community funding, we aim to remove financial barriers and ensure that anyone who needs therapy can receive it.

Ultimately, Three Little Birds is about creating a sanctuary—a place where people and animals can find peace, connection, and healing. Our goal is to help individuals navigate life's challenges while giving rescued animals a second chance at life. Seeing people find relief, growth, and hope through this work is what drives us every day.
